Sikkim

Scenic Sikkim, the magical Wonderland, is an amazing combination of steep peaks, green valleys, serpentine streams, holy lakes, old monasteries, and a diverse variety of flora and wildlife nestled in the midst of the majestic Eastern Himalayas. Kanchenjunga, the world's third tallest mountain peak, dominates the skyline and is revered as Sikkim's guardian deity. For generations, the inhabitants of Sikkim have been cocooned by the protective mountains and have established their own unique lifestyle, unspoiled by outside influences. They have based their clothing, folklore, and cuisine on their old beliefs.

With over 4,000 varieties of wildflowers, unusual trees and plants, including 700 species of rare orchids and rhododendrons flowering in its fragrant meadows, Sikkim has earned the moniker "Kingdom of Flowers." It is a haven for botanists, bird watchers, and butterfly enthusiasts, as well as mystics, folklorists, and anyone seeking a reality beyond the visible. The breathtaking surroundings are a delight for those who enjoy adventure sports and outdoor activities.
